DR. RONALD BOUTELLE, PH.D., PSY.D.

Ronald C. Boutelle, Ph.D., Psy.D., a native of New York, is a licensed clinical psychologist and psychoanalyst who has been practicing for over 35 years.

He received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts and a Psy.D. in Psychoanalysis from the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles. He holds three master’s degrees: an M.S. in School Psychology from the City University of New York; an M.A. in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University; and an M.S. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts. His B.A. in Psychology was awarded by the City University of New York.

After completing his graduate education, Dr. Boutelle served as a school psychologist for 15 years in New York and Inglewood, CA. He also worked for a number of years as a mental health clinician in outpatient mental health clinics in New Jersey and New York City. Dr. Boutelle has provided individual and group psychotherapy in an inpatient hospital setting to patients with substance abuse problems in Southern California. He opened his psychotherapy practice in West Los Angeles in 1989 and in 2007 moved his practice to Marina del Rey.

In the 35 years since he began servicing patients, Dr. Boutelle has applied his educational training in numerous types of settings to patients with diverse backgrounds and experiences. Patients have shown significant and measurable improvements in their ability to better control their feelings and behavior and have improved their happiness in many areas of their lives.
